McShane & Bowie Names Shier as Partner

Grand Rapids, Mich. – McShane & Bowie, West Michigan’s leading real estate development law firm, announced today that Andrew C. Shier has been named a partner in the Firm.

Shier, who practices in McShane & Bowie’s litigation group, joined the firm in 2002. His areas of practice include commercial and real estate litigation and he represents a number of local banks, contractors and businesses before Michigan’s state, federal, and bankruptcy courts.

He holds a bachelors degree from Eastern Michigan University and received his law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School. He is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan as well as the Grand Rapids Bar Association.

McShane & Bowie was founded in 1952 to meet the legal needs of the Grand Rapids real estate and business community.  The firm’s lawyers serve clients throughout West Michigan including Grand Rapids, Holland, Muskegon, Traverse City, Kalamazoo and Big Rapids.  Representation includes practice in all aspects of real estate, corporate, business, commercial, tax planning, employment and labor, litigation, estate planning and trust administration.
