David Smith is a senior partner of McShane & Bowie heading the real estate practice group. He represents clients in all aspects of acquisition, zoning, development, structuring, financing, workout, assessment, leasing, and sale of real estate. His practice includes representing corporate, institutional, and individual owners; joint ventures; prime and trade contractors; design professionals; and lenders in all areas of real estate development. Besides his areas of special expertise, David has also represented developers and owners of apartments, hotels, commercial developments, residential communities, and office buildings; non-profit corporations with tax exempt financings and other entities with taxable note financings; and a national research institute in connection with the acquisition of real estate and construction of a national medical research center.
